How we work

Carolyn is usually your first point of contact and is happy to answer any questions you have. She’ll arrange an initial viewing with Julia or Sonia, who will guide you through planning your event at Dulwich College. Leading up to your function, they hand over every detail to the Events Operations Team, and you’ll meet your Event Manager before your big day.

Julia Metzner

Head of Events, oversees the team. Julia has been with the College for too many years to mention so she knows the place inside out! With her meticulous flair for planning and a wealth of experience spanning more than twenty years there is nothing Julia doesn’t know about organising an event at the College.  An enthusiastic Zumba fan, Julia also loves to ski and catch up on the latest Netflix series.

Sonia Delshadian

Deputy Head of Events joined in 2009. With a keen eye for detail, you can rely on Sonia’s calm reassurance every step of the way to ensure you have the day you deserve. Her background in hotel management shines through in her passion for hospitality and desire to make everyone feel like a VIP. Sonia enjoys a visit to the theatre whenever the chance arises but above all spending time off with her family.

Carolyn Demeger

Events Administrator is generally your first port of call when getting in touch with her signature positive energy and warmth. Carolyn is our resident foodie having previously worked in the restaurant industry and has been keeping the office going since 2017. She has a keen love of dance and theatre and will generally be found in the beautiful outdoors at weekends, with her young family.

Kun Zhang

Business Development Manager, joined the team to focus on new business, creative ideas and building partnerships that support the College’s educational mission. With a background in luxury fashion and brand marketing, Kun brings over a decade of experience in storytelling, brand collaborations and event strategy.

A natural connector, she thrives on turning ambitious ideas into memorable experiences—preferably fuelled by a good green tea. Outside the office, she’s often found at an art exhibition, a fashion show, or walking through nature with her family.

Freddie Sewell

Marketing Executive, joined to showcase the best of what Dulwich College Events has to offer. As the first dedicated marketer in the team, Freddie brings years of experience in events marketing and a sharp eye for design, honed by his work as an artist. He ensures that every visual, post, and page reflects the elegance of the College’s venues and experiences.

From the first look after setup to the ecstatic guests’ arrival, he’s passionate about capturing the atmosphere and finer details that make events memorable. Freddie’s always up for bouncing around creative ideas, and is especially keen to champion sustainable, thoughtful approaches to event delivery & marketing.

Events Operations

Gerda Cimare

Events Operations Manager. Gerda has had the privilege of managing events in diverse locations around the globe.  Our problem-solver superwoman excels in high-pressure, fast-paced situations.  Gerda is strong believer in her team and believes if the team thrives, every event thrives.  She enjoys spending time with friends and experimenting in the kitchen.  She’s passionate about both nature and art and finds relaxation in painting, skiing and dancing!

Michal Hudec

As a Deputy Events Operations Manager, Michal plays a key role in ensuring every event runs seamlessly, handling logistics and client requests with precision and a calm, can-do attitude. Exceptionally organised and flexible, he takes pride in helping others achieve their goals and mentoring the College’s young casual staff along the way.

Outside of work, Michal is a qualified ski instructor with the Austrian Ski Association and loves to spend his free time hiking, travelling, and enjoying art exhibitions and great food experiences.

Vladislava Epermane

Events Operations Assistant. Since school Vlada has been interested in working in the hospitality industry with her natural desire to make the customer feel welcome.  Vlada is keen to learn and is never without a big smile.  In her spare time, she enjoys dance and yoga and is a keen photographer.

Rayna Williams

Events Operations Assistant. An event professional with a passion for creativity and commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality.  With a history of bringing clients visions to life, Rayna thrives on building relationships and meeting new people.  Rayna is an avid photographer and self-proclaimed foodie, enjoying exploring diverse culinary experiences.

Anna Hoang

Events Operations Assistant. Anna loves to see events come together with a focus on design, creating impactful experiences.  In her free time Anna puts her creative flair into courses in metalsmithing, wheel throwing, mould-making and carving.  Anna’s creativity shows in her approach to event operations, always full of fresh ideas.

Alfie

Team mascot, the newest member of the team and keeping Sonia awake at night but much adored by us all. With his white chest, he’s already dressed up in his tuxedo ready to welcome you to Team Events!
